Terms of participation

These terms apply to registration for “Tinta Roja” from 4 to 6 December 2026 at Esquina del Tango, Erfurt, and to your stay at the venue. In short: you register, we review and confirm, you pay by bank transfer within 10 days, and your place is secured. The details follow.

1. Organiser and contracting party

Your contracting party is Foad Ghassemzadeh; address see imprint. The event is organised together with Nizam Levant. “We” below refers to both. You can reach us at info@tinta-roja.com.

2. Registration and conclusion of contract

Registration takes place in our ticket shop. By submitting your registration you make a binding offer. We review every registration personally and, as is customary at tango festivals, aim for a balance of leaders and followers. The contract is concluded only when we confirm your registration by e-mail. Until then your place is provisionally held. We aim to reply within 7 days. If we cannot confirm a registration, we will let you know; no costs arise for you.

If you register together with a dance partner, please give their name. We will then review your registrations together. If one order contains several people, the person ordering is our contact; the tickets are nevertheless issued to each named person.

3. Prices and payment

The prices shown in the ticket shop at the time of registration apply. All prices are final prices in euros. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG) we charge no VAT and show none.

Payment is by bank transfer only. You receive our bank details, the payment reference and the deadline with the confirmation. The payment deadline is 10 days from confirmation. Please state the reference exactly, otherwise we cannot match your payment. Three days before the deadline we send one reminder by e-mail. If the money has not arrived within the deadline, the reservation lapses without further reminder and the place goes to the next person on the waiting list. If the deadline falls on a weekend, the following Monday applies; the exact date is stated in the confirmation. Payment at the venue is only possible if we offer remaining places at the door.

The reduced U30 prices apply to everyone younger than 30 on 4 December 2026. We will ask for ID at the entrance. If the reduction cannot be proven, the difference to the regular price is payable on site.

4. What the tickets include

• Full pass: all four milongas and three workshops of your choice out of the four offered. You choose the workshops when registering. Changing later is possible as long as places are free in the desired workshop; just e-mail us.
• Milonga pass: all four milongas.
• Single tickets: one milonga or one workshop.

Workshops are taught in couples and without separation by role. Please register together with a dance partner. If you come alone you can take part, but note that although we try to match people, we cannot guarantee a partner. This gives no right to a refund.

Places are limited: 30 per workshop and 70 per milonga through the ticket shop. If a ticket is sold out, you can join the waiting list. When a place becomes free you receive an e-mail with a link valid for 48 hours. If you do not register within that period, the place goes to the next person.

5. Tickets and admission

Tickets are personal and issued in the name given at registration. Once your payment has arrived you receive your ticket as a PDF with a QR code by e-mail. At the entrance, show the ticket on your phone or printed; we may ask for ID. A ticket admits you only to the programme items it names.

6. No right of withdrawal

As this is a leisure event with a fixed date, there is no statutory right of withdrawal (§ 312g(2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code, BGB). Instead, the following cancellation policy applies, which gives you flexibility until shortly before the event.

7. Cancellation and transfer

As long as your registration is unpaid, you can cancel it yourself at any time via the link in your confirmation e-mail. For paid tickets:

• Until 6 November 2026: full refund.
• 7 to 20 November 2026: refund of 50 % of the ticket price.
• From 21 November 2026: no refund.

Regardless of these dates, we refund the full amount if we can give your place to someone from the waiting list. Send cancellations by e-mail to info@tinta-roja.com; the time of receipt counts. Refunds are transferred within 14 days to the account the payment came from.

Instead of cancelling, you can transfer your ticket to another person until the event starts. For passes and milonga tickets the role (leader or follower) must match so that the balance is kept. E-mail us the name and e-mail address of the new person and we will reissue the ticket free of charge. Without reissue the ticket is not valid at the entrance. Reselling above the ticket price is not permitted.

8. Programme changes and cancellation of the event

The programme is as published at the time of registration. Changes in detail, such as a different DJ, changed times or a change of room, are reserved and give no right to a refund as long as the character of the event is preserved. If a workshop is cancelled entirely, for example because a teacher is ill, we offer a replacement or refund the workshop’s share (the ticket price for single tickets, a quarter of the pass price per cancelled workshop for the full pass).

If we have to cancel the event, for example due to force majeure, official orders, loss of the venue or too few registrations, we refund the full ticket price. Further claims, in particular for travel and accommodation costs, are excluded unless we caused the cancellation intentionally or by gross negligence. We recommend booking travel and accommodation with free cancellation.

9. House rules and conduct

The venue’s house rules apply at Esquina del Tango; we exercise the right of the house together with the hosts. On the dance floor please wear dance shoes or clean soles only, no street shoes. Drinks and food are available at the venue’s bar; bringing your own is not allowed. Smoking is only permitted outside.

Tango thrives on respect and consent. An invitation may be declined at any time, and a no needs no explanation. Anyone who harasses, pressures, discriminates against or endangers others, is heavily intoxicated or ignores instructions from the team may be excluded from the event. No refund is given in that case. If something bothers you, speak to the team; we will take care of it.

10. Photos and video

During the event we, or people commissioned by us, take photos and video to document the weekend and to promote future events, for example on our website and social media. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, § 23 of the German Art Copyright Act, KUG). If you do not wish to be shown, tell us at the entrance; you will receive a marker and we will take care. We remove already published images in which you are recognisably in the foreground on request. Guests may record the show by Duddie & Salomé only with the artists’ consent.

11. Liability and personal responsibility

You take part in workshops and milongas at your own responsibility; please assess your physical condition yourself. We are not liable for cloakroom items, valuables or belongings you bring, unless we are responsible for the damage.

Otherwise we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, i.e. an obligation whose fulfilment makes the event possible in the first place and on whose observance you may rely, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

12. Data protection

Which data we process when you register, and for how long, is explained in our privacy policy.

13. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
